A horrible car wreck on the city's west side this morning has left two people dead and a third in extremely critical condition, 1200 WOAI news reports.


 A car was speeding down Cupples Road at a high rate of speed at about 1AM.  Near Frio City Road, the speeding vehicle his a retaining wall, went airborne before careening down an embankment.


 The car then skidded onto the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, where it was hit by an oncoming freight train.


  A man and a woman in side the car were pronounced dead at the scene.  A third person, a man, was pried from the wreckage and was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition.


  Officers don't know if alcohol was involved, or why the car was speeding down Cupples Road.
