A 26 year old man surrendered today on a murder charge, after he allegedly shot a man to death in the parking lot of a north east side HEB, Police tell Newsradio 1200 WOAI.

Namon Jefferson walked into the downtown Public Safety Headquarters building downtown at noon today and surrendered.  He was arrested on a charge of murder.

Police say Jefferson and the victim, Terry Brown, were engaging in a drug deal in the parking lot of the HEB in the 6500 block of FM 78.

Jefferson allegedly pulled a gun and shot Brown to death.

The trail grew cold until Monday, when police, acting on a tip, got a warrant and discovered the getaway car stashed in a garage.
