Two People Were Shot to Death in Separate Shootings Overnight

  A teenager was gunned down overnight in front of the Springhill Apartments in the 4800 block of RayBon Drive on the city's northeast side, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.

  Police were called after security guards reported a fight in the parking lot of the apartment complex shortly after 10PM.  Then, the guards heard a series of gunshots.

  When officers got there, they found Quinton Jones, 18, sprawled on the parking lot, dead from several gunshot wounds.

  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

  So far, no arrests have been reported.

  About 2:30 AM, a man as found shot in the 100 block of West Amber, which is on the south side.

  Police say a resident of the apartment opened fire on a man who knocked down his door and forced his way inside.

  The victim staggered into the street with a gunshot wound to the chest.  He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

  Police are not saying whether any charges will be fired against the resident.
