I Tried One Of The Harry Potter Drinks from Starbucks

It will probably boggle your mind to know that in 2018 there are still people who have never been to a Starbucks.  I hadn't.  Oh sure, I've had a Starbucks drink here and there but people brought them to me.  So when I found out about the Harry Potter drinks from the secret menu I thought it was about time I stepped foot into the store.

I was completely lost and felt so pretentious ordering the Butterbeer Latte because there's so much involved:

  • a whole milk steamer with
  • two shots of espresso
  • two shots of caramel syrup
  • three shots of toffee nut syrup
  • three shots of cinnamon dolce syrup

**Disclaimer: I don't drink coffee.  I don't like coffee.  It tastes like dirt to me.  The only time I'll drink it is if I get a cappuccino from Valero (usually after a Spurs win, because obviously).

**FYI...this drink cost $5.75 (which is another reason I don't usually go to Starbucks and why one of my besties calls it FIVEbucks.  LOL!)

So it SMELLS like a Samoa (the girl scout cookie).  Yum!  And I have to tell you I was kind of hoping to see a Hogwarts crest or a Gryffindor in the foam when I took off the lid but...no.

Ah well.

AND...they didn't give me the whipped cream and caramel crumbles on top that I asked for.  Again, ah well.

To me, it just tastes like a flavored coffee.  I guess I was hoping for more Butterbeer flavor and less coffee (cuz I don't like coffee), but I asked others in the building (who are also HP fans AND have been to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter so they have more butterbeer experience than I) and they say it tastes JUST like butterbeer.  So there ya go!  Try it yourself and let me know what you think!

Megan has the secret HP menu on her page if you want to CHECK IT OUT!
