9 Year Old San Antonio Girl to Compete on "Master Chef Junior"

We watch a lot of the Cooking Channel and Food Network in our house (because I can only take so much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!)  But we enjoy it and we enjoy it even more when we can root for the home team!

Chloe Hawkins is an honor-roll student at St. Anthony Catholic School and she makes a mean osso buco!

She's going to show off her talent on season 6 of "MasterChef Junior."  Have you watched that show?  Those kids are AMAZINGLY talented!  Chloe has been cooking since she was two and credits her grandmother as her mentor.  (I love that!)

Don't worry about her going up against the likes of Gordon Ramsay.  “Gordon hugged me,” she told Jeanne Jakle from the Express News. “He was so fun, super nice to all the kids and really funny.”

Chloe makes her debut during the two-hour kickoff of “MasterChef Junior,” season six, at 7 p.m. March 2 on Fox.  On the premiere, the 40 budding chefs, ages 8 through 13, from cities all over the country, will be split into two groups — boys vs. girls.

The best 24 — 12 female and 12 male junior chef-testants — will earn the white apron and move forward when the show returns March 9 to its regular time slot at 7 p.m. Fridays.

I don't know how far she makes it but I'm already rooting for her!  Be sure to follow CHEF CHLOE on Facebook!  She may even teach you a few things.
