Avocado + Ice Cream = Super Creaminess

posted by Jennie James -

Sounds crazy.  Avocado ice cream that doesn't taste like avocado?  The company says on its site, “We use avocado as our base to create a rich and creamy texture full of heart healthy monounsaturated fat. But don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like avocado!”

We're ready for sunshine and spring weather, breaking out some ice cream to make Monday even more perfect! #avocado #dessert #vegan #avocadoicecream #plantbased

So far, Cado Avocado Frozen Dessert has three flavors, including Deep Dark Chocolate, Simply Lemon, and Mint Chocolate Chip.  You can pronounce all the ingredients: organic avocado puree, non-organic avocado oil, and organic cane sugar.

It’s gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and vegan-friendly, so you can give this to your kids who may have an allergy. Also, Cado only has 12 grams of sugar per serving (to give you a comparison, a standard Ben & Jerry’s has a whopping 27 grams).

You can find it at many natural food stores and big chains including Whole Foods.  Price ranges from $5-$7.
