Have You Taken The #TipTheBillChallenge?

posted by Jennie James -

Have you heard of the #TipTheBillChallenge?  Thankfully it's not one of those stupid ones like eating Tide Pods or drinking boiling water.  (Really, have teenagers ALWAYS been this stupid or is it new?)

This one is a great one that comes at a time when people are becoming pretty bad at tipping.  Eater reports that 40 percent of people are unaware that they should be tipping between 15 and 20 percent.  WHAT?!  Do you not know how hard it is to be a server?  I was a hostess at a restaurant after high school and it was awful.  And it was much worse for the servers.  I caught one crying in the back once because she'd had such a mean table.  I didn't last longer than that summer.  No thanks!

The #TipTheBillChallenge involves leaving a 100% tip.  Some have left even more.  Pretty sweet if you ask me.  Talk about turning around someone's day.  They get a great tip (extra cash is always nice) which basically tells them that they're providing great service!

Think about taking part in the challenge next time you get something to eat!  Below see some of the reactions from servers.

Hello loves, This caption tells it all. Paying it forward truly has a domino effect. Kindness and generosity will always come back to you 100% never be afraid to do a nice act. You never know what people are going through or how much youve really helped them. #gemsbyjess
