October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which means there are a lot of pink things around. The Better Business Bureau wants you to be aware of "Pinkwashing." That's a company that says they support breast cancer but they don't donate the money, just keep it for themselves.
So what should you do? The BBB says to always research any pink product claim before you buy it.
Also there are charities that help support breast cancer research, awareness and education. There are also charities that SAY they support breast cancer research, awareness and education. How do you know the difference? There are great websites that provide you the resources to know which ones you should donate to.
