Put Out A Teal Pumpkin For Kids With Food Allergies

If you see a teal pumpkin at someone's house, that means there are treats there that aren't food or candy. Kids with food allergies can trick or treat safely.

You can do it, too. There are plenty of things to give out other than candy, suggested by Food Allergy Research & Education:

  • Glow sticks
  • Bracelets, necklaces
  • Pencils, pens, crayons, markers
  • Bubbles
  • Minislinkies
  • Whistles, kazoos, noisemakers
  • Bouncy balls
  • Spider rings
  • Vampire fangs
  • Mini notepads
  • Playing cards
  • Bookmarks
  • Stickers
