Long Commutes Are Bad For You But You CAN Make Them Better

A study done in the UK revealed that long commutes reduce productivity at work and increase your chances for depression and obesity. Well, that's depressing.

Experts say the key is making the time spent in the car valuable to you.

SO...the best things to do include:

1) Listen to music. Q101.9 is really great to keeping you stress-free.

2) Catch up on news. Might I suggest our sister station News Radio 1200, WOAI

3) Listening to a podcast. I have one! It's called "The Professionals Unprofessional Guide to Parenting."

4) Catching up on phone calls if your vehicle has a hands-free system.

5) Focused silence.

6) Learn a language.

7) Listen to an audio book.

What do you do to make your commute productive?
