Delta Pilots Turns Plane Around When 2 Passengers Refuse To Wear Masks

A Delta Air Lines flight at Detroit Metro Airport turned the plane around and back to the gate when two passengers wouldn't put on a face covering, according to WXYZ-TV reports. The flight was on their way to Atlanta when the incident happened stating they were "non-compliant with crew instructions."

Most airlines require passengers to wear a mask while in flight in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19. Delta said: "Flight 1227 from Detroit to Atlanta returned to the gate following two customers who were non-compliant with crew instructions. After a short delay, the aircraft departed to Atlanta."

After the passengers were removed from the plane, they were able to leave for Atlanta.

Delta as well as other major airlines have enforced their mask policies to limit the spread of the virus and could face consequences even being banned from flying if they refuse to wear one.
