NBA Permits Playoff Attendance Increase For Dallas

The Mavericks are receiving permission from the NBA to increase American Airlines Center attendance capacity to at least 9,000 for the playoffs. Dallas owner Mark Cuban shared the news during a radio appearance on Thursday. Local health department guidelines amid the ongoing pandemic resulted in the Mavericks opening the season with no fans at home games but recently eased health guidelines have allowed a small number of fans spaced out throughout the 20,000-seat arena to attend. Dallas' most recent home games have numbered between 4,200 and 4,500 fan in attendance.
