Online safety and security site Safewise analyzed federal crime and Google search data to determine the 10 worst cities for stolen packages. For the second year in a row, San Antonio landed at No. 5 on its list. Safewise offered these tips for cutting the risk of package theft:
·Install a doorbell camera or home security system
·Get to know your delivery person and ask them to hide packages they drop off
·Closely track packages online
·See if your neighbors can pick up your packages when you're not around
·Pick up packages in person instead of arranging porch deliveries
Amazon provides lockers where you can have your packages delivered. You can have packages delivered to your office. Some police substations can receive your packages for you to pick up later.
