Texas Biomed Is Working On Variant-Specific Coronavirus Vaccination

The Texas Biomedical Research Institute is working to develop vaccines that target specific variants of the coronavirus. Dr. Tracey Baas, manager of the Vaccine Development Center of San Antonio and innovations manager for Texas Biomed, says researchers are singling out the omicron variant because it's so widespread at this time. On Tuesday, the CDC released a study confirming that omicron cases are not as severe as those of earlier variants, such as delta.
