Ever since the kids were born, I find myself watching a lot more cooking shows. Not sure why. Maybe because cooking is pretty safe around little eyes and ears. But we all enjoy it. So we tuned in to see what was up with the new show "Iron Chef Gauntlet."
Well, lo and behold if a San Antonian wasn't competing! So far Chef Jason Dady has survived the first three competitions! You may be familiar with his work as he is the chef/owner of Tre Trattoria, Tre Enoteca, Two Bros BBQ, Shuck Shack, The Bin, and B&D Ice House. And he has another restaurant in the works: a modern American steak house called Range that will open along the Riverwalk!
Basically 9 amazing chefs go head to head. Only one will be left standing to compete against THREE Iron Chefs! Could it be Chef Dady? He's got some big competition from Chef Shota Nakajima (who's killing everybody in the elimination rounds) and Chef Sarah Grueneberg (who just won the James Beard Award!). Don't get it wrong, though. They may be strong competitors, but they're friends, too.
Iron Chef Gauntlet comes on Sunday nights on the Food Network.
