Take Care of Your Face Mask

When wearing a face mask, you have to make sure you wear it correctly in order for it to help protect you.

  • Do not touch the outer covering of the mask.
  • Wearing the mask under your nose or on your chin is wrong. (cover your nose AND mouth)
  • If it gets dirty, sweaty, yucky…wash it. If you used it after a day, wash it.
  • Only handle and adjust the mask by using the handles or the strings you use to go around your head or behind your ears.
  • Do not share your mask with anyone.

You can easily clean your handmade masks as well:

  • out your mask in the washing machine or fill a sink up with soapy water and scrub the mask for 30 or so seconds
  • hang to dry or put in the dryer
