Why not take pen to paper and write a letter (or two or three) to a loved one?
Taking the time to hand write a letter shows you care, that you’ve made an extra effort and you’ve really considered the other person.
Doing something nice for someone else makes you happy, especially if you know they’ll really like it.
Handwritten letters tend to feel more meaningful than texts and emails because we take more time to think about what to write and how to write it.
The receiver is more likely to keep, remember and treasure the letter.
The act of sitting down and putting pen to paper is in itself a mindful activity, which can be therapeutic and great for our wellbeing―especially now.
