Saving Money On Your Style in 2021

Personally, I've always been a fan of shopping at thrift stores. My weight fluctuates enough that I don't want three wardrobe sizes of expensive clothes. And parents know kids grow quickly and there's no reason to spend so much on clothes they'll wear for a season.

These days we don't have a lot of extra spending cash. But if you want to stay stylish inexpensively, you totally can! Just remember these things when you shop:

--Be patient and have an open mind. This is a great way to experiment with fashion but it's also not a quick process. Inventory changes daily.

--Always check the thrift shop for these three items: blazers, button up blouses, pants. These are year-round staples to any wardrobe.

--Don’t pay attention to the size label. Labels aren't always an indicator of fit.

--Give online thrift shopping a try. Many people aren't or can't go out shopping, so try thrifting online. Places include: Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, Poshmark, Goodwill, ThredUp; and don’t forget to support small businesses who sell on platforms such Etsy, eBay and DePop.

--Keep an eye on the trends. They repeat themselves.
