I'm sure you've heard how you need fiber in your diet. But why? Fiber helps regulate the body's use of sugars, helping to keep hunger and blood sugar in check. Plus, fiber can aid in weight management by making you feel fuller faster and can improve bowel movements.
There are two kinds of fiber that you should consume: soluble fiber and insoluble fiber.
Soluble fiber helps lower cholesterol. It can be found in found in bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, and lentils.
Insoluble fiber helps more with bowel movements. It can be found in foods such as wheat, bran, vegetables, and whole grain.
It's best to include fiber in every meal so make sure to include these foods in your meals to keep your fiber up!
