You have rusty metal patio furniture sitting on your back porch. It's unsightly, but you don't have the budget to buy all new furniture. How about painting it? You obviously like it since you bought it. If you repaint it in a fun color and maybe put on a comfy cushion, you're going to LOVE it.
Be sure to work in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors, that's not exposed to direct sun or strong wind, which can affect the adhesion of the paint. To protect surfaces from overspray, lay down a drop cloth and make sure you're not spraying too close to the side of your house or other areas where you don't want paint.
Step 1: Remove loose rust.
Step 2: Sand rusty areas.
Step 3: Spray on primer.
Step 4: Apply metal-approved spray paint.
Step 5: Finish with sealer.
