I am HORRIBLE about touching my face! It's bad enough that you can spread the oil around on your skin which could cause breakouts. But touching your face, especially after touching different surfaces or even people, can help you catch a respiratory infection, like the flu, strep throat, measles, MERS, SARS, whooping cough, diphtheria, legoinnaire's disease, mumps, pneumonia, menigitis, rubella, tuberculosis, and of course, COVID-19. That's why we've been hearing about washing our hands so often.
All those diseases sound scarzy! So, if you're like me, how do you stop touching your face so much?
Keep your hands busy.
Visualize what you’re passing around.
Count your touches.
If that doesn’t work, bust out a marker and dot your hand every time you touch your face.
Ask a friend to help.
