Not only is Fiesta in full swing this week but there are also plenty of other fun happenings around town. Let's get into it:
TPR's Yappy Hour @ Hops & Hounds (Wednesday). A free, all-ages event including tunes by DJ Mélon, complimentary caricature drawings of you and your pupper, tasty food + beverages, and more.
San Antonio Film Slam @ Brick at Blue Star Arts Complex (Wednesday). Alamo City Studios is hosting a first-come, first-serve slam for all filmmakers who want to showcase their demo reels, shorts, features, documentaries, and more for a cash prize.
Selena Special Screening @ EVO Entertainment (Thursday). A celebration of the iconic Queen of Tejano and a special 25th-anniversary screening including a specialty menu, free gifts for each gift, and interactive fun.
Jefferson Clay @ Cherrity Bar (Thursday). The Spring Concert Series returns to Cherrity Bar's open-air patio with award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Jefferson Clay.
Mount Westmore @ AT&T Center (Thursday). Rap supergroup Mount Westmore, made up of legends Snoop Dogg, E40, Too Short, and Ice Cube, will be in town for one night only.
Fiesta Family Blues Festival @ The Espee Pavilion (Friday). A full, fun-filled day of kid-friendly activities, food trucks, local artisans, live music by The Keeshea Pratt Band, Soul Man Sam, Eddie and the Allniters, and so many more. There's still time to win a pair of tickets!
John Crist @ The Tobin Center (Friday). The fast-rising stand-up star behind viral videos like "Every Parent at Disney" and comedy special "I Got Questions" is bringing his Fresh Cuts Comedy Tour to the Tobin Center this week. Win your way to the show by tapping that link to enter.
Food Cart Fest @ Peacock Alley (Saturday). The inaugural Food Cart Festival features a variety of local street vendors with a diverse selection of food including tacos, hotdogs, burgers, quesadillas, and more. A full bar will also be on-site.
Grand Opening @ Purssona Gallery (Saturday). The new anime/pop culture gallery opens this weekend with free pizza and beverages, live painting, plus special guest Dewdrop Bakeshop.
