Kitchen remodeling is very expensive but you can do some of it yourself. A big thing to try is painting your cabinets. So make sure you do it correctly.
Remove the doors.
Label your doors and hardware.
Make sure you do the proper prep work like cleaning, sanding, and filling in any cracks.
Use a primer.
Make sure to use the right kind of paint finish, like semi-gloss or satin, but not matte.
Build up the surface with multiple layers of thin paint rather than one thick layer that can more easily chip off.
Make sure you let the cabinets dry completely. They may be dry to touch after a few hours but curing process can take several days.
