Get help with your CPS Energy Bill

There are multiple city and county-led assistance programs available to customers that will help you make your next payment. 

·CPS Energy's Budget Payment Plan, which allows residential and commercial customers to plan out a payment plan to avoid the shock of a high energy bill in the event of extreme hot or cold weather.

·The Affordability Discount Program is CPS Energy's assistance program for customers with income at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. The program offers a monthly discount of $11.67 on electric and $4.47 on gas. 

·The Senior Citizen Billing Program gives customers over the age of 60 more time to pay their CPS Energy bills. You get 25 days instead of the usual 16 days to pay the monthly bill.

·Senior citizen customers can also sign up for the Senior Citizen Late Waiver program, which will waive late fees.

·The Disabled Citizens' Billing Program gives customers with a disability more time to pay their monthly bill. It also extends the timeframe to 25 days instead of 16.

·The Residential Energy Assistance Partnership, or REAP, is a nonprofit that helps families pay their utility bills. 

·The Residential Critical Care Program is for customers that use or have a dependent that uses electrically operated medical equipment at home. It gives these customers additional time to pay their bills.

·The Burned Veterans’ Discount is for military veterans that struggle to maintain body core temperature due to severe burn injuries they received during combat. Customers that qualify receive up to $94 off per month on their electric bills from April through October. 

·STEP Rebates offers numerous ways to get rebates via its Save for Tomorrow Energy Plan. The program encourages energy efficiency and weatherization options for residents.
