William Shatner Lifts Off Into Space, For Real

William Shatner, best known as playing the role of Captain James T. Kirk, launched into space today (Wednesday) with Blue Origin. The launch took place after a short delay. At the age of 90, he is now the oldest person in space.

His flight lasted 10 minutes round-trip reaching a height of 351,000. After he returned Shatner said, everybody in the world needs to do this.

If parting ways with a couple hundred thousand dollars was easy to swallow, then yeah, sign me up!

Here was the video broadcast, from take off to touch down, as it happened earlier today.
