In 2020 nearly 2 million people in the United States were newly diagnosed with cancer, and over half a million succumbed to the disease. The statistics are not fun to analyze or talk about. We live in a world where we’ve been hit over the head with bad news at every corner, and so many Americans are quick to scroll past anything that has to do with suffering or illness. However, if we don’t continue to raise awareness for cancer research and statistics the disease will continue to snatch those we love from our arms. One San Antonio organization that is dedicated to helping people who have been handed a cancer diagnosis is Rays of Relief. Founder and CEO Geoff San Miguel has worked tirelessly to help people right here in our San Antonio community. Rays of Relief has been a source of good news for hundreds of families lost in the despair of trying to figure out where to start with a cancer diagnosis.
