San Antonio Zoo Celebrates New Bald Eagle Habitat

The San Antonio Zoo held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to celebrate the new bald eagle habitat's grand opening. The habitat is located in the Birds of the World realm in the zoo.

San Antonio Zoo's two resident Bald eagles were rescued, rehabilitated, and now call the zoo home. Chinook, the male eagle, was injured near an airport in Washington state, and Haley, the female eagle, was found shot in Ohio.
