Genius Ways to Get Rid of Pet Hair From Anywhere

Do you regularly clean up clumps of hair and dust that gather in the corners of your home? Do you have to vacuum more than once a week? Then the following hair removal hacks are for you.

1. Get rid of pet hair on upholstery with a squeegee - Dampen the seats with water from the spray bottle, then scrape the hair away in one direction with the squeegee. The hair will build up into a clump as you scrape and remove it!

2. Lint brush or DIY lint roller

3. Remove hair with a rubber broom

4. Microfiber dust mop - When you’re done mopping, just toss the cover or cloth in the washing machine. TIP: Avoid using fabric softener in this load — it will reduce the “static-cling” power this special mop brings!

5. Rubber gloves

6. Vacuum cleaner

7. Dry sponge

8. Washer

9. Baking Soda - Vacuuming is an obvious solution to removing pet hair from carpets, but before you do, sprinkle a little baking soda on the area — this will help to loosen pet hairs AND eliminate odors; it’s a win-win.

10. Replace your air filters

Another good idea includes keeping your pets groomed, whether just brushing them every day or taking them to the groomer regularly.

You can also buy hair remover brushes for furniture, wool dryer balls, Bissell makes great vacuums, and Bounce has dryer sheets that are specifically for pet hair.

Another thing I've found is called the Fur Zapper. You can use it in your washer and/or dryer. Or just use it to "wipe" off the hair on your clothes. You can get it at Wal-Mart and PetSmart, as well as order it online at Amazon. This isn't an ad; I just found that it works.
