Yes, it's real!
This is a breed of chicken known as the “Brahma”. They were developed in the US from large fowls that were imported from China back in the 1840s. They’re also known as “Shanghai birds”, “the King of all Poultry,” or “Oh god, what is that? It’s the same size as me. Is it a guy in a costume? It’s actually a chicken??? Protect the children!” birds.
