Baking for Loved Ones Has Real Psychological Benefits

There is something fun and wonderful about baking.  I've never really thought about it before, but it makes me feel good.  Turns out there are good reasons for that!

Baking is an outlet for creative expression.  That helps manage stress!

Baking is also a way of practicing mindfulness, another technique used in battling stress and anxiety.

Baking forces you to focus.  That helps take your mind away from bad thoughts, helping to combat depression.

Baking for others is a form of altruism.  Offering food to somebody else is just as much a comfort to the person receiving as the person who’s serving and offering.

And sometimes baking for friends and family can be a form of communication easier than words.  It can be very helpful to someone who has a hard time expressing thanks, appreciation, or sympathy.

Not that we needed excuses, but let's get to baking so we all feel our absolute best!
