From the San Antonio Public LiIbrary:
"On Wednesday, April 19, Central Library will host an opening reception for “The Threads That Bind Us”, a collaborative exhibit between local artists and Project Runway season 2 winner and fashion designer Anthony Ryan Auld. This unique event features fashion inspired by the art of four San Antonio artists. Local artists Alyssa Danna, Juliana Kasumu, Anthony Rundblade and Ashley Mireles submitted their works to Auld, who designed unique outfits reflective of those works. Auld and the artists will discuss their creative process and what inspired their works for “The Threads That Bind Us” during a presentation before the opening of the exhibit. Afterwards, an official unveiling of the exhibit will take place, followed by a reception.
San Antonio Public Library will display the art and outfits in the Central Library Gallery Wednesday, April 19 – Tuesday, July 18. The Gallery is free and open to the public during regular library hours. The exhibit is meant to demonstrate the creative visual connections and relationships between fashion and art.
The opening reception is free and open to the public, but registration is recommended. To register, visit bit.ly/AnthonyRyanAuld. Call 210-207-2500 or visit mysapl.org for more information."
