Dan Ariely is a psychologist who did a study as part of his book "Payoff: The Hidden Logic that Shapes Our Motivations." He found out that handing out pizza at work was more likely to incentivise office workers than a cash bonus. WHAT?!
He found that pizza and compliments from the boss are the most motivating. Money incentives came in third. Again...WHAT!?
