Christmas time is a stressful time. So much to do: cooking, baking, shopping, decorating, wrapping, traveling, partying. Oh, and you still have a job and a family to take care of.
A lot of people get completely stressed about it, which is understandable. In one study, 62 percent of respondents described their stress level as “very or somewhat” elevated during the holidays. Just 10 percent reported no extra stress.
- If you get stressed, stop and focus on your five senses. Think of what you're seeing, smelling, touching, hearing, tasting to help you ‘reset’ your brain.
- Don’t over-schedule. Slow down and do less to enjoy more.
- If you don’t get to everything on your to-do list don’t worry. What matters is being with the people you love.
- Get a good night’s rest.
- Exercise.
