Are you stuck behind a desk all day? Because it isn't good for you! We know that but to see how it can affect you makes you want to get up and move more:
- It can increase your depression and anxiety
- You can suffer from back and neck pain
- Your risk of color and endometrial cancer goes up
- More likely to suffer from obesity, diabetes and heart trouble
- Weak bones
- Blood clots
What can you do about it? Replace at least 2 hours of sitting a day with 'movement breaks.' That could be easier for some than others, but you can start by taking the long way to the bathroom/copier/break room.
