Easy Steps To Reduce Plastic Use

I am a big Doctor Who fan and, on a recent episode, they talked about all the plastic on our planet. Like, there's so much that it's in our bodies now. That can't be good.

So how do we cut down? It's all about getting rid of one-use items. And it's going to take a bit to get used to doing stuff a different way.

*Obviously reusable bags when grocery shopping.

*Use water bottles and coffee cups that can be washed and reused over and over.

*Swap out plastic straws and utensils for reusable ones.

*Try to get out of the habit of using plastic storage bags and plastic wrap and use containers/jars that are easy to wash and reuse.

*Bring your own reusable containers to restaurants instead of having the waitstaff put your leftovers in styrofoam containers.

*And what about using old peanut butter jars? Once they're empty, wash them out to store leftovers in the fridge or freezer. A bonus: they're clear so you can easily see what's in them!
