Dave Sears wasted no time jumping in to help San Antonio front line health care workers in the early days of the Coronoavirus outbreak by setting up a PPE Donation Drop off station at Alamo Cycle Plex.
After hearing the heartbreaking story of a local nurse having her motorcycle stolen, he went to work again.
Sears, did a quick Zoom chat with iHeartRadio and KJ97's Jamie Martin to tell his story of Doing Good.
“Obviously, this Pandemic has us all stressed and living outside our daily routines. When I saw the victim was a nurse it touched my heart,” Sears said.He followed his heart and reached out to Mercedes Suarez offering to replace the stolen 2004 Kawasaki 250 Ninja she had spent months restoring with a new motorcycle!
“We’re motorcycle people and we understand bikes are more than transportation - they’re truly an extension of a person and their personality. We just wanted to try to turn a negative into a positive.”Sears added.Mercedes recently picked out her new Kawasaki 400 Ninja. The motorcycle is being readied for the nurse who dedicates herself to caring for patients at an assisted living facility.
