San Antonio attorney and philanthropist Thomas J. Henry has partnered with a local embroiderer to manufacture and distribute 1,000 handmade fabric masks to seven San Antonio medical facilities and organizations.
Thomas J. Henry initiated the partnership to help combat shortages of medical masks and other essential supplies amid COVID-19. Medical masks are paramount in the nation’s attempts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect those on the frontlines as they continue to treat patients and protect at-risk individuals.
“We cannot do enough to show our appreciation and support for those on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19,” said Thomas J. Henry. “I sincerely hope our contribution will help reduce some of the risks these heroes face as they continue to take care of our sick and those in need.”
As part of the initiative, Thomas J. Henry provided fabric masks to:
·Alamo Area Home Care Council
·Aurora Cancer Center
·Family Violence Prevention Services - The Battered Women and Children's Shelter
·Food Bank of San Antonio
·Mays Cancer Center (UT Health SA)
·Promotion Physical Therapy
“COVID-19 affects all of us, and it is going to take a united effort to reduce and eliminate the spread of this disease,” said Thomas J. Henry.
“As we follow recommendations and guidelines put forth by medical experts, we should also consider what we can do as individuals and community members to aid our healthcare workers and healthcare professionals in their fight against the virus.”
“We are in this together,” Thomas J. Henry added. “Locally, nationally, and globally, we are all part of the solution to COVID-19.”
