As of Aug 30, our community only has a day and a half of emergency blood for all blood types. For type O blood, the supply is less than a half day’s worth. 48 counties and over 100 hospitals and clinics in South Texas rely on that blood supply for emergencies.
On Sept 3 and 4, Ingram Park Mall will be hosting a blood drive in preparation for the Labor Day weekend. The blood drive will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. All donors will receive a Chick-Fil-A gift card for a free sandwich, a $10 gift card to Rudy’s BBQ, a day pass to Sea World, and much more.
