What To Do In San Antonio This Week - 12/20/21

It's a short week due to the holidays but there's still plenty of fun to be had until the big day! Get ready + celebrate the big day with these events:

UTSA vs. San Diego State Watch Party @ Chicken N Pickle (Tuesday). The University of Texas at San Antonio's football team is going up against first-time rivals San Diego State Aztecs in the 4th edition of the Frisco Bowl. Tune into the game at the local pickleball court plus enjoy game-day specials on eats + drinks.

Roarin' 20s Christmas Party @ The St. Anthony Hotel (Tuesday). The historic hotel plus The Dirty River Jazz Band and KRTU have teamed up for a classic holiday party in the iconic ballroom, complete with a crafted buffet. Tickets are sold out but the waitlist is still open.

Jewish/Chinese Christmas Menu @ The Hayden. The Hayden's Head Chef Bill and Sous Chef Bryan collab'd with consultant/chef Teddy Liang for a new fusion menu to celebrate the holidays. Visitors can dive into dishes like Pastrami Fried Rice, Everything Chicken, Egg Matzo Drop Soup, and more from 12/21-23 for dine-in. 

Heidi N Closet @ Bonham Exchange (Thursday). Drag performer as seen on RuPaul's Drag Race and All Stars 6 is gracing the legendary Bonham Ballroom for one night only. 

Siggno @ Cowboys Dancehall (Thursday). Tejano band Siggno is bringing the Reconexion Tour with special guests Chris Perez, Solido, and Yahari. Tickets are still available.

Jose Amador and Terra Nova (Friday). This month's featured artist for Texas Public Radio's monthly Daystream video series is Latin jazz legend Jose Amador and Terra Nova. Jam to horns, bass, piano, bongos, congas, and more.

Lightscape Christmas Eve @ San Antonio Botanical Garden (Friday).Due to overwhelming demand, Lightscape will be open this Friday. The trail features a one-of-a-kind experience blending new works and guest favorite works made up of over 100,000 lights. Get a preview on our Instagram.

Christmas Day.Have a jolly ol' time with ourWhere to See Holiday Lights, Where to Get Chinese Food on Christmas Day, and Restaurants Open on Christmas pages. Plus, the downtown ice skating rink will be open for a sesh!

Alamo City Soul Club Holiday Party @ Friends of Sound Records (Saturday). The ACSC DJs are reuniting for a Christmas extravaganza spinning deep funk, soul, r&b, boogie, and more. 

Winter Wonderland ¡Celebración! Light Display @ Palo Alto College. The third annual drive-thru light display is coming to a close this Thursday, 12/23. Visitors can support PAC students and get in the holiday spirit for only $15.
