What To Do In San Antonio This Week - 1/24/22

It's the last full week of January and there's plenty of rad stuff to do to close it out with a bang; Comedy, live music, a BBQ cookoff, and more!

12th Planet @ Prïvat (Wednesday). LA-based dubstep producer and DJ 12th Planet is landing at martini bar and social club Prïvat for one night only. 

Food Paradise Watch Party @ The Hayden (Wednesday). The South Texas Diner with an Old School Delicatessen Soul is throwing a party to celebrate the premiere of its feature on the Cooking Channel's Food Paradise show. Enjoy the regular dinner menu, breakfast for dinner menu, and cocktails.

Conjunto Underground with Santiago Jimenez Jr. @ Mariachi Bar (Thursday). Mi Tierra has a new music series featuring classic style conjunto by prominent accordion and bajo sexto conjunto, norteño, and tejano musicians from Texas and beyond. Free and 21+.

Tom Segura @ Majestic Theatre (Thursday). Actor, comedian, and writer Tom Segura is headed to the Majestic stage for two shows in one night on his I'm Coming Everywhere Tour.

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cookoff and Festival. The 25th annual Cookoff and Festival includes two days of vendors for shopping, carnival rides and activities, adult beverages, live music, and much more. Kids 12 & under + military (with valid ID) get in free.

Bill Baird (Friday). Texas Public Radio's monthly video series featuring local artists returns this week with Bill Bair, Heavy Meddo, and TV Talk Show Host Travis Randy.

Mike Epps @ Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. Comedian and actor Mike Epps is returning to the Alamo City for a weekend of shows on the LOL stage.

Roshii, Ruthcrest, Xenobioa, 40% Dolomote @ The Starlighter (Saturday). One of San Antonio's newest performance venues is hosting a night of live music featuring local musicians Roshii, Xenobia, 40% Dolomite, and special guests all the way from LA, Ruthcrest.

Experimental Showcase @ Presa House Gallery (Saturday). Musical artists C.C. Sorensen, Wind Tide, Maria Elena Silva & Scott Dean Taylor, and T Putnam Hill are showcasing new sounds across a layered landscape of instrumentation as Presa House hosts the closing reception of the latest exhibition "A Todas Horas".

Blackbird Sing @ Sam's Burger Joint (Sunday). Local Texicana rock band will be performing hits from their new album,Hindsight Is 20/21.
