Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
A new study has shown that artificial intelligence assisted by a trained radiologist is 20% more accurate than traditional methods.
Authors of the study believe that it's the first randomized controlled trial demonstrating how effective an AI-assisted breast cancer screening can be.
“The greatest potential of AI right now is that it could allow radiologists to be less burdened by the excessive amount of reading,” study co-author Dr. Kristina Lång, an associate professor of radiology diagnostics from Lund University in Sweden.
