I mistakenly thought wearing a mask could help with bad breath. Instead, it can cause it. It "involves the disruption of the oral microbiome due to regular mask wearing." I don't know what an oral microbiome is, but what we need to do is schedule (and attend!) our regular dental cleanings, using a toothpaste with a prebiotic formulation to promote the recalibration of the mouth's acidic environment, and avoiding mints and gum as they make your mouth even more acidic.
