ACS is looking for kids between the ages of 9 through 13 to become reading PAWnters to help dogs in need.
The Doggie Reading Book Club Program was created to help shelter dogs with their socialization, aiding them in becoming more adaptable and helping to reduce their stress.
This program was also created to assist children in their ability to read, their appreciation for reading and to learn pet responsibility.
To become a volunteer, both a parent and their child must submit an application.
ACS is also seeking dog-loving individuals 18 years and older to help with Play Groups. They will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
