The San Antonio Spurs took their first loss of the season following a 5-0 start. The Phoenix Suns beat them 130 to 118, as Victor Wembanyama failed to crack double figures in the game while posting 9 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 6 turnovers on a 4-of-14 shooting night from the field. Rookie Dylan Harper left the game with a non-contact calf injury.
Harper sustained the injury in the second quarter. He hopped on his right leg after landing awkwardly while defending a shot near the basket. He immediately came up limping and wasn't able to join his Spurs teammates in the frontcourt for their ensuing possession.
Harper entered Sunday averaging 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 48.2% from the field and 35.7% from 3.
